Could anyone tell me where I can get a hard copy of the drivers hand book, looks like you need to read this and pass a theory test before you can get your L's looking at this http://www.roadsafety.sa.edu.au/content ... up=drivers

Thanks :)

Thanks for that jet, You're a champ.

Thanks for the Info and link Weez, its actually for my 15 year old son and thought it may be a good idea to stick a hard copy under his nose and tell him to learn it.
I will get him on the website as well though so thanks for that :super :super

My lads halfway through his L plates now, doing the log book way. He and his mate both went to take the test, his mate failed 3 times on the trot.

cheers Stevo, I really must read up on the subject rather than bother you lot  I didn't even know there was more than one way to do it.
Let me know how your boy gets on mate and what he struggled with if anything.
What is the theory test they take just the on you see on line ?.

If anyone fancies jotting down the stages/ procedures in getting your L's through to passing your test that would be very helpful.
then we could put it in the reading room for future wonnabe Shumakers :-)

Any instructors on here? I know there used to be Spider I think and someone O'Brian something like that :D

Both mine learnt with Spider, he still teaches I saw him the other day with a learner!
My 2 did the log book way, 50hrs driving with 10 of those at night, the times they went out with spider got logged too, but only he can tick off the bits in the log book, once they had done their time they had a test, they both passed first time, including the L test and the hazard perception test at the end of P2s. Things might have changed a bit Liam is now on a full licence and Kell is half way through her P2s....omg how the time flies!!!

Spider is still teaching but is very busy - when Laura first tried to get a lesson it was several weeks before he could fit her in but she is getting regular lessons now. Also be aware that Spider's car is automatic not manual. Laura is getting him to teach her the basics out on the roads and I'm teaching her the how to use the gears in my car.

Laura is paying $50 per lesson with Spider. :thumright:
